to the players who took us so far and gave us some priceless memories

to the backroom staff who continue to take this club forward in trying times

to the volunteers who have worked getting grounds ready,selling tickets/golden goals/gambles/programmes...anything....

to the die hards who are there week in week out

to the home only crowd who traipse to Windsor once a fortnight

to the couple of times a season types who were there on Saturday

to the first timers to Slough but are coming back

to the merely curious because it was the cup who probably won't

to my daughter who cried in the car going home because ' we can't see Slough in the cup anymore'

 

All football fans ask is a chance again next week/month/season. Slough fans can not even rely on that, so EVERY bit of support is precious.

 

Oh and my dauhter cheered up when I said we still had the FA trophy to look forward to.

'Trophy!' she said 'thats much better than a silly old Cup!' and then launched into a sniffly version of... Eddie Denton's rebel Army.

Absolutely. I have to admit that the Wallasll game made me return to follow the club since I last watched in 1991. I hope I keep continues and when I make my next visit to London, That will hopefully be at WEXHAM PARK.
