For the Prog (Maybe) Predictions for this season..

Recommended Posts

Perhaps you might has WON those matches rather than one them. As Chuck therefore is clearly a problem to the success of your club, perhaps it is time that Greene found a competent keeper to go between the sticks rather than keep up the old boys routine. Obviously I'd be happy to see Chuck stay in goal for out forthcoming fixture, but if there is a clearly identifiable problem then surely it should be dealt with.

However, as I understand your club has not applied for the Conference South, it doesn't seem worth replacing Chuck when there is little point in getting a top five finish.

Hey mark! I agree with your well thought out and interesting debate about the current Windsor side!

BFR The fans were calling for a new goalie. It's up to Greene to get one but the fans want one! Top of my X-mas list Santa btw <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

There is little point applying for Conference South (although i am not sure if we did or didn't apply) as we don't have the fans or the funds to support us. Hendon did the same thing last season allowing Basingstoke to stay up and now look at them!

When you face a team in a higher league doing well this season and do well agaisnt them...please PM me.

Yeah good point, beating a League One side recently relegated from the old First Divsion with a former England International Player/Manager was simply not good enough because they were in the lower half of the table.

When you have a good cup run - in your lifetime - send me a PM.

I think Yeading have had such a big rise through the leagues in recent years that they'll have to come back down at some point. Throughout that rise they haven't managed to attract significant crowds either. They will end up in Conference South next season, I'm sure of it, but when Hippolyte leaves to join a bigger club, along with a lot of the players, I can only see them struggling in the long-term. Of course, they may not have many fans but they do have their own ground which is always good as they'll always have that base to work from, no matter what level they're at !

They've been operating at this level or above for the best part of 15 years, and when I say this level I mean 2 divisions below the conference, whatever the name was at the time, i.e. now it is Ryman Premier, Last season Div 1 North, before that plain old div 1. They also had a good run of 5 or 6 seasons in the 90s one division below the conference (old skool Ryman Premier) In terms of history then yes they are a relatively new club (formed in the 60s) but I think it is a little patronising to say they will have to come back down when they have survived (or indeed thrived) at this level for quite a while
