Website Move Seems to be Confusing our Friends

Totally agree - we requested them move the DNS for us - they failed to do this - and now want us to pay another years hosting at a very high price, when we do not even use them to host the site frown.gif They seem to hold the trump cards, so it looks like we will have little choice. It is a few hundred pounds that we shouldn't have to pay out. frown.gif

I tried to do something under the new ICANN rules, but this seems to have failed frown.gif

The plan was to change the site back to the urchins.org domain once the DNS was updated.

(apologies if all the above is double-dutch wink.gif )

Holding us to ransome to the tune of several hundred pounds sounds ugly. As "we" own the domain name in question I can't understand why we can't just transfer it to another service provider. I built and service a website for my mother's small business. I used 5MB of the 30MB "free" webspace supplied by my ISP, then registered the domain name she wanted and then used "web pointing" to access the site. Total cost = about twenty quid a year.

Hey Ian, please don't think I was criticising because you do an excellent job!!! Bet you have forgotton more than I will ever know about website design!! The point I was trying to make by my first post was that lots of people think we are "dead" because they can no longer access urchins.org Is there any mechanism whereby we can inform fellow clubs that they should use hornchurchfc.com?
