Slough Town - u must be sick as

Ok now for a reasoned response given that I have calmed down. Firstly, we do appreciate all your club has done over the last two seasons. There are some very helpful and friendly Windsor supporters and officials who we get on well with.

It would be most beneficial for the relationship between our two clubs if people like you did not make such snide comments at every opportunity.

Go and speak with your chairman and I am sure you will find he is most happy and would not appreciate your comments.

Please also note that in the last two rounds of the FA Cup we have had attendances totalling 4,500. It would take you an entire season of your "average" gates to reach anywhere near that figure.

Also thanks to those two games improvements have been made to the ground thanks to co-operation between the clubs.

Then remember that all profit from the bar and the tea shops goes into your club.

Also remember that your club benefits from the club house being used by supporters every week. At half time at OUR games there are more people in YOUR bar than you get at games. Greatly benefiting your club.

Please remember that without us sharing your ground you would be making even more of a loss than you already do. You have some quality players but how long could you hold on to them without the added streams of revenue that we generate for the club.

Try and remember that the next time you feel like alienating "your tenants."

oh dear, that raw nerve is very tender. are you reading more into my initial posting than I expected?

i'm sure all at Windsor are more than happy with the income, and no doubt Mr Simpson looks forward to the rent cheque every month.

we perhaps couldn't lure the Guy Ekwala's & Adam Mansueto's of this world without your dosh, but settling for a Sir Gordon Hill certainly isn't the end of the world.

you know where the bridge is...left outa the Meadow, down Imperial Road, 2nd exit at the Clarence Road roundabout. give the castle a wave as you pass.

Well it does kind of get a bit tedious that nearly every one of your whopping 18 posts makes some snide comment about Slough or rent payments.

Wow so I can see, hobbies that include eating and supporting Spearmint Rhinos. Says a lot really. Or is that supposed to show you fantastic sense of humour?

I suppose your too busy bashing other things....

Banter I can take. It is one of the main reasons I love non-league football and enjoy the Fans Focus forums.

Pointless and unnecessary comments about rent are out of order. Particularly when we have explained repeatedly how unhelpful it is. I thought you had begun to understand that Woody, maybe not.

If the original post had ended at "I LOVE IT" you would not have heard a peep from me. It is a fair comment and we are understandably gutted but just happy that we have had some good occasions during the cup run. Let's face it a team from Level 7 of the pyramid making it to the Second Round of the FA Cup is an achievement.

BTW, sarcasm is a form of humour often described as the lowest form of wit. Personally, I am fan - which would explain a lot.

I'd like it if someone could tell me how many times WEFC have played in the Second Round Proper of the FA Cup, been 90 minutes away from a Premiership club, and attracted a crowd of 2,400+.

And all this whilst being homeless and not knowing from one month to the next how much longer the club will survive.

You love it? I wonder how many Windsor fans would have tried to get tickets for a Slough v Newcastle game?

1983/4 Windsor 0 Harry Redknapp's Bournemouth 0 after a Sat postponement. Crowd 3451. Winners knew they would play Man Utd whom Bournemouth beat 2-0. So the answer is ONCE.

Which means I believe, that WEFC have been in the third round (proper) draw.

Indeed, the draw was on Monday lunchtime and W&E 0 Bournemouth 0 was later that week. Harry famously said on Match of the Day that "Windsor gave us a harder game than Man U." W&E's history is certainly glorious, the trophy cabinet bestrewn with, for example, Berks and Bucks Cups from as recently as the 80's plus I think the odd Windsor Hospitals Cup.

We are still here.

I remember hearing about the Windsor vs Bournemouth game and also Harry's quote. A fine result. Particularly for an Isthmian Division three side or were you on one of your periodic sorties into the upper echelons of the Isthmian?

Just curious, but have you ever knocked out a football league side? I honestly don't know and I cannot be bothered to properly consider your history.
