FA Cup / League Cup Draw

Was hoping Spurs would get a good trip up north against someone crap like Scunthorpe or Bury so Gertcha and myself could go on a bit of a day-trip. Instead, we've got Brighton at home. A Tuesday night replay could be a laugh though, I guess!

 

As for the League Cup, if we can't even beat Liverpool's Youth Team, then that's pretty sad. Kanoute's penalty was pretty dreadful, and Brown's rates alongside Waddle and Beckham in worst-ever penalty shootout efforts. That we would have played a Division One team over two legs in the semi-final makes matters even worse. I had a trip to Cardiff in February in my sights. (Perhaps we'll be going to Ninian Park in the FA Cup 5th Round!)

That Brighton game could be on the Sunday as the Gypo's are at home as well.

 

I may have tickets to [****!!****] v Palace in the Palace end in Feb as well.

 

I need to find a 2nd club to support for when City are pissing me off and that I can speak about to your average football fan. It was great when I used to watch the Dons in the 97/98 season.

 

Any suggestions?

I picture you more at a smaller club, though. Would it need to be Premiership or not?

 

Presumably someone fairly local so you could go and see them too?

 

Brentford? QPR if you wanted someone higher up the leagues.

 

There's always West Ham if you're not bothered with seeing Premiership football!!

QPR's a good shout, Holloway lives in St. Albans too (apart 4 doors down from Dean Richards) so you could get a lift with him..

I thought you already had a second team in the MK Dons. You can get there free on the train to, so that would be ideal mate.

I do look out for the old dons but I didn't really aggree with that whole move and I have no intrest in AFC Wimbledon.

 

Premiership would be ideal, I do have a soft spot for Spurs and the only premiership team I've seen in the 00's were Fulham. If I support Palace then I know the way to Selhurst Park

Yeah, a lot of my mates support them and they hate Arsenal, as do I. Throw in all them great City legends that started at Spurs and them playing their reserve games down t'park for a while all equals a soft spot.
