BTSA AGM?

Recommended Posts

Not much happened!!!!! John Mapp stood down as chairman of the BTSA and is now the vice-chairman. Andrew Turner is now the chairman of the BTSA. Steve Unite also stood down as club treasurer, and some woman who's name I do not know. Jane Mapp has steeped down as manager of the Town Shop to have her baby, and no new manager has been appointed.

There was also a lot of talk about the new stadium, there is going to be a 80 room hotel overlooking the pitch (you could stay in the hotel when you come over), also a swimming pool is going to be in the ground.

Hope that helped.

There were three comittee vacancies left unfilled - Secretary, Shop Manager and Events. Overall a successful year for the BTSA - a large increase in the donation to the club. There is a new scheme in place to replace the goal sponsorship scheme - details will be on the website next week.

There was a Q&A with Rod after the AGM had closed, in addition to what Marky B said about the new stadium, plans were due to be submitted on friday (19th) and will hopefully be on display in the clubhouse for the Boston game. A response to the submission is expected in September.

There was no real new news on the plyer front - the only player to have definately left so far is Sacha Opinel who has signed for Social? in france. Still looking at a number of players - something like 45 in training on thursday including reserves.

I'll hope that the swimming pool would not be on the ground, are we going to play waterpolo next season...? <img src="/forums/images/icons/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Anyway, good news about the hotel, if it is correct. If we manage to put together some organised trips for norwegians, it could be the perfect place to stay, if it's not going to be too expensive...maybe a special rate for broke norwegians?

Cross my fingers for todays match vs Boston, please post the results here!!!
