Loan players

Recommended Posts

Why is it that when we loan players out, they either never come back or have lost form.

It all started when we loaned out Louis Evans to King's Lynn, a mistake because he looked quite sharp up front.

We have lost Shears to Dover - will HE ever come back despite Dover being almost bankrupt to the point of folding.

We have lost Taff Islam - good potential - has he returned?

Now we have lost Tom Davis at a time when the midfield, by Andy's own admission is looking stale and unproductive.

Maybe the time has come to blood some of the talented reserves, we have nothing to lose as we are already losing most of our games anyway.

Again, whats wrong with Surey? Moussa is a better impact player from the bench. We played at our best with the 3 tacklers in midfield and either Drury or Moussa starting (preffered option Drury). Moussa can come on when defenders are getting tired. Why waste moussa at the beginning when the defenders are fresh - All that said, Tmw could well be the chance for Moussa to impress against Lesser defenders??!!

What has Surey done wrong?

He was one of the 16 best Under 23 players in the league a month ago, hence he got picked for his country.

When he plays, we play better, this is not a coincidence. Arguably he plays well all the time and not just when he can be bothered/when he isn't sulking

etc.

Agree Surey has been a top performer this season, On Saturday no one really excelled, but with Roy out, the two up front had a constant battle against much taller defenders. Our defence, with or without Mooro, who came on late when Pop limped out of the game, look much more solid with the new Mc, and if and when Porter gets back that seems to be more strength and depth, Again as we have all seen its a striker we need, when speaking to a Woking supporter last week, he said they were amazed how many chances we made and did not convert, they reckon with a striker on form, we would have won by four or five at the very least, the players need to real confidence boost lets hope they get it tomorrow evening.

I believe when he came to Gravesend he said he likes to get forward and score goals - well he hasn't scored at all. Jay and Macca are more likely to score so I definitely wouldn't leave them out. As Surey lacks creativity you can't play him wide. Still what do I know compared to the great Jimmy eh? No wonder I'd never join the Fleet Trust etc

What we need is a striker that can read Roys moves and latch on to his little head flicks that he does so well. When the long ball has been punted upfield for for Roy to head, a striker needs to burst through from behind Roy, and to anticipate Roys nod on. OK he may be caught offside once or twice, but it's worth the effort.

But there again, what do I know, I'm only an avid supporter.

Yeah, he played away at Thurrock/Purfleet.

Presumably you were replying to Alan's post about Pacquette Jimmy, and not Miller? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Agree with Gary to a certain extent about loaning players out - hearing about Davis' loan to St. Albans was a little surprising, given our injury problems at present.

First of all, nothing is wrong with surey, I just unfortunately forgot about him. Amazing to believe I know, but Moussa was the first name to pop into my head. There's nothing wrong with Ben Surey, and I'm gonna agree with you on this, Moussa is better from the bench.

Secondly, again it won't let me on the link, so who is the player we are talking about?
