No problem. Porters was good as gold about it when he played for us. Took all the stick in good spirit, mind you I don't think he had a lot of choice then. We had an ugly crowd on the scene in those days!

...and the poor sod nearly lost is other one, when ex-Romford defender Lee Flynn (then at Hayes, now at Stevenage I think) accidently elbowed him a few years later. Fortunately he recovered from that one. We first signed him from Gloucester would you believe. Not sure what the fee was, but we did buy his contract so it must have been a fair few quid.
