That must be gutting for the real 30 or so Yeading fans to know that they may miss the match so the Hayes boys can jump on their FA Cup bandwagon..

Firstly, good luck to Yeading - the best team won on the day!

 

Secondly, everyone seems to have missed one significant point with reference to the venue for the third round tie.

 

If Yeading can manage to stage the game at home then I would say they would be guaranteed live television coverage. That's what happened to Farnborough - the BBC said they would only show them live at home.

 

Live TV does, of course, mean mega-money thereby making up for the lost gate receipts from not travelling...

I don't really understand why they couldn't hold it at The Warren. If their capacity is 2500 they would have almost got that for our second round game had we been drawn as the away side. If they can handle a 2000+ crowd versus Slough there's no difference to one against Newcastle. It's still the same amount of people and segregation can be easily achieved as we proved. Hey Wilko, it could be a chance to earn a few quid in the third round!

 

I'm not sure on what basis the Police or relevant authorities could suggest it be moved. Either a ground has a 2500 capacity or it doesn't, surely?

By all accounts (BBC etc) the capacity has been stated at 3,500 ! Sounds optimistic to me but then, I've never been there !
