Yeading vs Newcastle

No, if anything, I think it will negatively effect them as they know they didn't perform to their best as a team on the day.

But, we'll keep on supporting them, and let's get our future secured so we can have many more goes at getting into that elusive third round.

No major surprise, no hope of holding it at The Warren. Brentford? Fulham?

Not really in any mood to wish them good luck atm, but I'm sure that will change when we get back to some league action and try to put it in the past.

Best of luck to them. They were the superior team. I'm pleased that both they and Exeter are getting big matches, though obviously I'm disappointed like the rest of you that it is them and not us.

Anyway, with one cup out of the way it is time to focus upon the league. With other teams playing more games we are hovering just above the relegation zone, which isn't surprising really given that our match with Dover will be only our second league match in 7 weeks. The boys will have to pick themselves up and get some results under the belt

Yeading, Eastleigh and probably Billericay will be the best three teams in the league and most deserving of the promotion. Can't see this extra match providing too much of a distraction for them considering they are out of the Trophy now as well.

Marcus, taking it to a neutral ground will increase their gate receipts significantly I would imagine. Going from 3,000 capacity to 15,000, in a game which will sell a fair few tickets won't exactly be scuppering their gate receipts. They are already talking of moving it to Middlesborough or Sunderland - must be nice for the Yeading fans to be thinking only financially.
