Match of the day question ?

Question, Did Match of the day give you better coverage?

Did the F.A.Cup get better coverage?

1st round I stayed up until 1.15 to see 15 mins of F.A.Cup highlights, felt like they concentrated too much on the premiership, which i have as much interest in as watching England. So I did not bother waiting up for it this time.

They showed all the 2nd round goals (58) but still waited until they could get as much Premiership coverage as possible in, including GOTM, before putting the FA Cup stuff on.

Once again BBC, disappointing. It's times like this when I wish the ITV had retained the rights as the FA Cup highlights would have had a 90 minute show to themselves for both the opening rounds.

I've seen the goals once and that was enough. Those two Yeading headers were terrible from a defensive point of view. Absolutely gutting but it's what I thought would happen. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Now the BBC have got the Premiership back that takes precedence so the FA Cup 1st/2nd round gets put back to the graveyard slot!

It was brilliant the three years that ITV had the Premiership because the only football BBC could show was the FA Cup and normally the programmes for the 1st and 2nd rounds were 90 minutes long as it didn't have to compete with Premiership coverage.

Canvey have featured twice once live against Northampton and they showed highlights from our replay against Southend last season. I also seem to remember Hornchurch featuring last year.

In fairness to the BBC, when ITV covered the FA Cup a few years back their coverage was appalling and totally neglected the earlier rounds.
