Its great that she made the effort to come, wearing a Slough shirt and stood behind the goal, singing in the second half. Maybe this is an avenue, if even only for publicity that should be explored and exploited to the full. Not sure how much she could actally do, but the more people that publically come out on our side the better. (God its hard to type with Scarlett trying to add her bit)

Does she have more power than the council?

Locally, NO. The council run things locally.

She has more power and influence nationally, but our ground isn't a national issue.

Good on her for showing interest and support. How many of the BLLD councillors did the same, despite some of them being the first to say they are supporters. Action speaks louder than words.

Good on her for coming.

I don't doubt that some will say she was jumping on a temporarily popular bandwagon - I don't know whether she was or not. I get the impression from what she's said in the past that she does have sympathy for STFC. She has no power to influence the council and the ruling group are usually predicatably critical of her as she's Labour.

In any event, yet again none of the ruling group of councillors were there, showing in no uncertain terms what they think of the issue. They must be breathing a big sigh of relief that we didn't win, so the media spolight will no longer be causing them further embarrassment. They are no doubt hoping that when the comments stop they can keep their heads down and just hope it all goes away......

Fiona ... is always in contact with me and has and always been ! for many years now...It was great to see her behind the goal with the rest of us, wearing a slough shirt...It can be difficult for her to intervene with the present council but she is always ready to listern !

And by the way...all the council members (labour who attended) including Fiona paid to get in ! they were grateful that they could have had a free ticket but they insisted to pay !

Supporting the rebels...

but we must try to get the message to all at the town hall - this is a football club and we all must work together for the sake of the best supported team that slough has !

Up the rebels...

Dead right, RebelsRus, but we must not let it go. We must be the piles in their back passages, the boils on their bums, the ache in their ears, and the pains in their bellies, - no way are we going away and in the next elections we must hurt them. I bet if we can identify sufficient Slough fans in many Wards, the majorities are so small we can wipe them out at the next election. Away with them!
