Just seen the (brief) feature on Football Focus with the Brent lookalike at the Polish Club.

 

Does anyone know who was behind the Brent 'stunt'. Seems to have attracted plenty of attention (Sky, BBC, local papers) but whose idea was it? The Club? Either of the TV companies? Or the lookalike's agent?

"The Office" was a comedy show made by the BBC which ran for several series and won lots of awards.

 

It starred comedian Ricky Gervais as Office Manager From Hell, David Brent and was set in a fictional company in Slough.

 

The show featured many "landmarks" of Slough such as the Brunel Bus Station and Slough Trading Estate.

 

It sort of took over from that damn poem by John Betjeman as an excuse to laugh at Slough by those who go in for that sort of thing.
