BBC London News

Just caught the end of an item on BBC London News about Slough vs Yeading, Only joined half way through so it may have been a balanced feature with information on Slough first. However what I did see got my goat. Couple of comments from "Drax" on how the revenue would improve facilities then a short clip on Delroy Preddie

Quote:
once a hero of slough Town

Then

Quote:
The "ding " as they are known squeaked past Halesowen in the last round; with Slough struggling 16 places below them in the same Ryman League this time they are favourites

A bit more on DJ Campbell then

" Its Slough's less than intimidating Stag Meadow tomorrow, but 90 minutes away it could be Highbury "

(wont let me do three quotes)

Stick this on the wall Eddie so the Lads can read it.

good grief what an attitude... deserves a good kicking... (of the [****!!****] variety in the sense that we will beat them obviously)

it was the reporter who said that and not anyone from Yeading to be fair. They showed a photos's of Stade De Meadow and then Highbury!

How dare they compare Stade De Meadow to that! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

For the avoidance of doubt - no the report was NOT balanced in the slightest. All Yeading - Slough was a complete irrelevance as far as they (BBC London) were concerned.

I was going to e-mail them with a stiff complaint, but I'd rather we do our talking on the pitch today...

NB Note to BBC London: It wasn't Yeading that beat League 1 side Walsall in the last round!!
