The game is over and I have my own opinion which I feel I should keep to myself. The result is known.

What is not known is the result of the raffle. There were well over 100 and probably 150 strips sold at over a £1. I was told that the price would be divided 1/3-1/3-1/3 which means that there is around £50 prize money to be picked up.

Now you would not want me to report Abbey to Trading Standards would you? So what were the winning numbers.

I have one thank you very much.

When I was at Romford the other week I bought tickets for your club and the result was drawn at half time and I made enquiries and I found out the number that won.

This result was not known at full time and that is poor organisation. I will not buy any more raffle tickets at Abbey and that is a fact. The clubs in this league rely on the finance from their supporters and visitors and Abbey lost a lot of friends today.

What are you on??????????????????

The raffle was was kindly organised and run by "Junior" with proceeds being divided equally by each club.

I know for a fact that the ticket was drawn out - it was done in the boardroom after the game but I cannot remember what the ticket colour or number was.

I'm sure "Junior" will provide the information later.

BTW Thanks for your efforts "Junior"! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

As far as we are aware we will be told what league we are going in by the FA, no one has a choice.

That is correct. The play-off winning sides will be placed in the Step 4 promotion/relegation pool alongside the relegated clubs from Step 3 (e.g. Ryman Premier) and each club will allocated to the most appropriate geographical league. In the same way, relegated sides from the Southern Div 1 East will be placed in the Step 5 pool and placed in the most appropriate geographical league.

Some clubs on the boundaries of a couple of leagues may, if necessary, be moved to an adjacent league to make room for the relegated clubs but there is a guarantee that they would not be shifted sideways again for at least three seasons. For example, if a couple of Essex based clubs needed to be placed in the ESL then Waltham Abbey or Enfield Town could easily be shunted into Ryman 2 or the Spartan South Midlands Prem. Alternatively, Burnham Ramblers, Stansted or Sawbridgeworth Town could be moved to the Eastern Counties Prem (it would not necessarily need to be a club at the top of the table that moves, they just need to be on or near the boundary of two leagues at the same level).

Any club wanting promotion this season must meet existing ground grading criteria by 1 April as in past seasons. Any new national ground grading criteria (of which the final draft copy is now out) will not apply to clubs being promoted this season.

The draw was done by junior in the boardroom after with Mrs Coath watching as well as other members. the money was divided up between the two clubs. The reason the draw was not done before was cos Junior done such great job and was still selling tickets at the end of the game. The prize money was £101.

The 8 promotion places will come from 15 leagues. How many leagues will not have either of the top two teams meeting ground criteria to be promoted.?

For arguments sake, Say 11 teams meeting ground criteria. How do you whittle down 11 to 8. Do you then eliminate all those that came second in their league.? Is there going to be 'Bye's' for some. Will those bye's be picked out of hat,or does the team who scored most point or goals..etc. in their respective leagues get a bye.

This could turn chaotic.Something that would suprise no one.

The draw will be made in January. As there are fifteen leagues and eight promotion places, one side (League) will be given an automatic bye to promotion and the other fourteen leagues will be drawn in seven play-off ties. If you find yourself drawn against a League with no suitable club in the top two, you will receive a bye and be promoted. If not, you will have to play off against whoever.

It is a national draw so, if ETFC were to qualify for the play-offs, you could get Enfield at home or you could get St. Helens Town away. It will be purely luck of the draw.
