Play Offs

I notice that the Southern League Div 1 East ( to which we feed) has Great Wakering Rovers and Tilbury in the bottom two and I assume that one is relegated but, if our top club goes and gets beat in the proposed Play Offs then where on earth would one of the above mentioned two be allocated ? Perhaps a sideways shift for a play-off losing "top two " club .. or what ?

You have 15 clubs, could you not just have 16 next year? If no sideway move or no promotion from ESL.

if tilbury and great wakering both get relegated this season then both of these clubs would have to make a choice on which league they would be relegated to,ie ESSEX SENIOR,JEWSON,OR RYMAN 2 thats how i am led to believe it would pan out,if both club decided to come into the esl league then so be it thats just the way the cookie crumbles.

Surely if the FA are telling promoted clubs where to go, then they will not leave it to the relegated clubs to choose where they want to go to!

Who told you that the f.a.tells you what league you are going into if you get promoted,thats rubbish the team thats win the esl and if they win the play-off finals would get a choice of what league they can go into,for argument sake lets take waltham abbey who are currently top of the esl,if they won the play-off finals then they would get a choice on what league they would like to go into ie,southern league east division or ryman div 1 all of these leagues are part of step 4 which is the next step up from our step 5.

Depends which report and when it came out, one version said that there is no set route for promotion or relegation but that the F.A. would allocate from a pot on where you go. This would make sense, so it is proberbly the reason it seems to have disappeared.

I think you need to read the small print compaq7500. We cant chose the Ryman the FA chooses.

Ryman Div 1 is basically south of the Thames and Southern League East, North of the Thames.

what if there are only 5 teams that have grounds fit for ESL next season, could be champions by Christmas 2006!

If that is true alot of esl clubs will have to start doing miracles so that their ground is up to scratch.

I can assure you Bowers & pitsea f.c. wont be losing their esl senior status that i can guarantee,if fact it must be nice for you that you have to ground share due to not having your own ground, all you towners will be surprised how much work has been done at bowers,im so glad that bowers & pitsea as a club dont have to rely on other clubs to retain our senior status.

If there aren't enough teams in Essex with senior status to form a league next season then you will be travelling to other Counties! So you are relying on the other clubs in your league!

As far as we are aware we will be told what league we are going in by the FA, no one has a choice. And that is a generalisation not saying WE will win it before you all go off on one.

If Abbey do not have the ground ready for 30th April then Town as it stands at the moment would still be in contention for that playoff place. Don't expect any help from towners in your quest to be ready by the 30th April!

I suggest you check out AND make yourself aware of the (current published) criteria before making such sweeping generalisations.

Get your own house in order before dissing others.
