It seems Janik has had an official knuckle rapping for insensitive and offensive comments he made about Cllr George Davidson missing a meeting when he was, in fact, having treatment for cancer.

 

It also seems that he hasn't even had the decency to apologise. Furthermore, considering how much he loves to get his picture in the paper, for the first time ever he was amazingly unavailable for comment. Disgraceful.

I remember the incident when he made those comments - on the Slough Observer thisisslough forum last year.

 

The comments he made were absolutely shocking and downright cruel.

 

There was universal condemnation of him from the posters on that forum at the time.

 

Janik NEVER apologised then and said that his comments were misconstrued, so it is very unlikely he will apologise now.

 

I for one am glad that he has been hauled over the coals for what he said. His comments were heartless, vindictive and deliberately designed to hurt someone deeply at a time when they were very vulnerable. Political rivalry and point scoring has no place in such situations.

There are more investigations on the way, At least one of which while finding him to be deliberately dishonest, clears him as his dishonesty did not bring the council into disrepute. A link to the official findings will be placed on this forum when The Standards Board put it on their website.

 

 

Personnally I don't understand why it needed an official independant enquiry to conclude that he was deliberately dishonest, you've only got to read what he posts to figure that out
