Just been watching SSN and there is a bit about Slough coming up within the hour with either Ricky Gervais or a lookalike at the training ground. Might be the same bit that they are showing on Footie Focus on Saturday but still worth a look if you can.

I watched the new Ricky Gervais DVD last night (very very funny) but I hope for his sake they have got a better lookalike than the one he was moaning about. Hopefully it will still be on when I get in tonight

Yeah I saw it in the bar just now (about ten to three) - couldn't hear a thing as the sound was off but it looked quite funny. It consisted of a Gervais impressionist (obviously they wouldn't get the real one !!) giving a motivational talk in the dressing room and at training (Polish club?) incorporating his trademark dance. They all looked like they were having fun, particularly Miller of course !!

 

Also had James Saulsbury in an office (don't know if it's his actual workplace but I assume so) with his feet up on the desk, Brent-style, and talking to a couple of colleagues.

 

Also showed Slough High Street and had a few people doing the 'Brent dance'. There were also shots of the Brunel bus station, offices all the stuff you'd expect, etc etc, at the beginning.

 

Looked quite good, can't wait to see it with sound !!

Does anyone know if sky came to the club and said we've got this idea or was it done by the club itself? Whoever it was deserves a pat on the back. Good to see Non-league on telly but i'm not sure if having a David Brent lookie like will bring the crowds down to your games!

I'm glad I saw it before I went out last night as it wasn't a story they were showing when I got back just before 1. Perhaps they pulled it because the presenters were getting rather silly and doin their own interpretation of Brent sat down at their desk
