Cold on Saturday?

I don't think the forecast is looking that bad, personally, although I admit that I am no expert on how Stag Meadow holds up in the cold.

If the game was called off for any reason, I would imagine that it would be rescheduled for the replay date as I am sure that is what normally happens in the FA cup.

As a purely incidental observation, (I desperately want the game to go ahead this week) any postponement would, of course, put us in the third round draw by default...

Have another look - current Saturday forecast for Windsor (and Slough, surprisingly enough) is 10degC and sunny (although at 92% rel. humidity, there might be a touch of fog in the air).

We may be very cold watching, but the pitch will certainly not be frozen!

(I think copious rounds of "Boing, Boing, Rebels, Rebels..." are in order" <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)

I must have seen what Ted saw. The BBC weather site must have gone mad. It was showing "FOG" everywhere and temperatures something like a max of minus 2C, with a min of -6C! Shortly after I checked the forecast on Sky News Active and it was more sensible, like we can currently see on the BBC site. Phew! I think the undersoil heating at Stag Meadow (the worms) would have been pushed to generate the heat to cope with those conditions.

Yesterday the Beeb said Foggy and very very cold, and today they are saying not foggy and not so cold.

They seem to change their minds every day, or even every hour.

I've learnt not to trust them, Weather.com say...partly cloudy and 51f (about 6c I think)

Current forecast (for 3pm Sat) from weather.co.uk is 9C, partly cloudy, 8x% rel. humidity. (Select metric units to show temperatures in Celsius)

Current forecast from BBC Weather is sunny, 8C, 94% humidity. (they do not do a 24hr forecast 'in advance')

This shows a serious improvement on today:

Bracknell forecast for 12:00, when I will be playing footy outside, is 'Fog, 0C' <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /><img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /><img src="/forum/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />
