Thurrock, impartial report!

My fourth game in 7 days, number 5 tomorrow...

 

First half fairly even but the lion's share to Thurrock who wasted at least 2 very good goal attempts, they had about 5 chances in total.

 

Half time team talks; 'Keep it up' to hard-working Margate and a bit of a rocket for Thurrock.

 

2nd half, Margate score against the run of play, screaming shot from Keister.

 

Thurrock get deserved equaliser with about 10 minutes to go (bugger, this means e/t and I want to go home...) Good move, ball squared across the 6 yard box by Akurang and slotted in at the back post by Kandol.

 

Eztra time and a different Margate came out, deservedly went 2-1 up when Keister was left totally unmarked on the edge of the box for a corner, the ball found it's way to him and he had an age to line up his second screamer of the night. Margate then could and should have scored at least another 2.

 

The fleet burger was nice and I now don't have to eat again for two days.

Interesting on how the goal came.

 

On saturday despite overall good performance, we were useless at our attacking corners-everytime ball was cleared we never were able to collect it on edge of box, as only Benevides was on edge,when it needed two guys either side to pick the loose balls up.We had to many in the 6yard box and only PB to try and pick up the cleared balls.

 

I see now why JK goes around shouting 'seconds' all the time.We did not get 'seconds' on saturday.

Looks like it paid off for John 'seconds' Keister last night-experience i guess.
