Well, I've had two Hot Chocolates tonight, and I feel good. No desire to have booze tonight, and nor will I.

 

First real test will come tomorrow evening should I go to the Trophy replay.

another 24 hours clean.. noticing some strange mood swings now without the levelling effect of booze.. i expect these to wear off later today.. just need to stay away from places i associate with booze.. so thats work, getting off the train, walking back from the gym at lunchtime, lunchtime, the bit between lunchtime and hometime where i sneak out...

83 hours now.

 

Just got myself a hot chocolate from the vending machine downstairs. I am in possession of the key, of course, so obviously didn't pay for it.

 

No booze for me tonight. One day at a time and all that [****!!****], and I'm feeling healthier than I did this time yesterday.

I made it though the evening so that's just 36 hours for me. Can't say that I feel any better yet though.

I have only broken the 100 hour barrier three times since I was 17.

i remember doing 2 weeks about 8 years ago.. once you have 7 days under your belt you start feeling all healthy and going to bed at 10 pm and sleeping straight away.. you also seem to have about 6 times more time so you get all your outstanding admin and crap sorted out..

your missus seems to like you more.. and when people talk about the t.v. program on channel 4 last night about migrating birds you realise that you actually watched it.. and when people get on the train steaming drunk you start tutting.. all in all you become a bit of a scarfer.. you also realise why people who dont drink should never be given positions of power.. only piss heads should run things

I did the 80 hour barrier about a year ago. I remember having a single beer left over in the fridge. Come Friday night I could hear it calling to me and in the end I had to drink it.

Yep, I have a single can in there too. I was going to chuck it out last night, but thought I'd leave it in there in case Costello called round on one of his impromptu visits, and then I'd have a drink to offer him.

another day draws to a close with no beer 24 hours to go till my next pint.. its gonna be tough.. i had two mates coming round tonight, i had to put em back to thursday .. actually ive been marlboro light free as well quite remarkable

Just hit 98 hours myself. Last night wasn't too much of a problem. It was fking cold at the game, so Bovril was my tipple of choice.

 

Spurs/Liverpool tonight. Possibly meeting up with Jill King. For Horlicks, of course!

cheers.. good effort enduring a footy match with no pintage, not sure im ready for that kind of cold turkey yet....

anyway i only have to last till 5 pm now .. not long to go , my only hurdle is potential lunchtime pintage.. i may force myself to go for a swim instead, and i have fking zero intrest it that!
