Got stupidly drunk again on Friday night, spent a fortune and it's taken all weekend for my body to get back to anything close to resembling reality.

 

And the upshot of it all is that I'm pissed off with it.

 

So, I'm giving up the booze.

 

No doubt I'll leave myself open to ridicule from a certain section of my mates, but I'm making myself ill with all the crap I pour down my neck, and I've got responsibilities to my young son now.

 

So the drinking stops here.

 

I'm currently 60 hours dry. Another update tomorrow morning.

I'm with you on that mate.

 

As you know, I was there Friday, I didn't partake in the rediculous amount of Champagne that you had, but I was only in the pub for ten minutes before I'd scored some Charlie. This is [****!!****] killing me and it's got to stop.

 

As for upsetting Yellow, well I'll probably keep doing that anyway.

Not got a problem about you wanting to kick my mates in. Personally I think you would lose if you tried to take them on in a fight cos both can handle themselves fairly well.

 

Still think it best I don't remind you of some of the stuff you said to me Saturday night.

Gertch - good thinking.

 

I'm thinking of starting Zeal's Coffee & Hot Chocolate Club actually, for people with drinking dependancies who want to give up.

 

Perhaps those interested should sign up on this thread here.

 

Will be interesting to see on the 7th whether my snooker improves or worsens with Hot Chocolate coursing through my veins, rather than Stella.

careful C.Z... anyone with a drinking dependancy like yours or mine or laz's is not going to stop at one coffee..

oh sure it will all be fun and sunshine to start with.. 2 grande lattes after the game and a 'ahh i feel fantastic this morning' on your way to work the next day.. but three months later it will be pints of super strength espresso mix with nine sugars and chewing coffee beans neat.. and when the money has gone , hanging round the back of starbucks to try n get hold of the discarded coffee slop and old filter papers to suck on
