Just wondering if anyone knows any info about the following injuries?

 

Haddow - left match half way through today after a bit of a nasty knock.... was denton just playng safe for next week?

 

Veli Hakki - any info on how much longer he's out for?

Veli said afterthe Walsall match that he will be back for the Yeading game, although I think that was his "hope" rather that actual fact.

Haddow is an odd one given that he came out for the second half but did not start it. I suspect it is precautionary to save him for next week. No official "news" though.

I should see some of the players and possibly Kev on Thursday (if they are training) and I will see what I can find out. And then keep it secret obviously.

I'd expext Alex to be fit, although Danny Steer did play well when he came on. As for Veli, i'm hopeful he will be on the bench as I saw him training with the players before the match, so he can't be far away...

i'd agree that i was pleasantly surprised by steer's performance... but would still much rather have the man wit 80,000 friends...

How's Goury looked in the reserve games? He looked sprightly and fit as a flea when he was warming up the other day. He's good in the air (not Murph1's strong point, nor Saulsbury's) so I'd have thought he'd have hasd a run out by now if he was fit enough.

Maybe for Mike Murphy, but I'd not drop James Saulsbury for any other defender in this league with the form he's in. Murphy hasn't exactly played badly either.

I agree, I wouldn't drop any of them but if Daly, especially. or Mike Murphy got crocked I'd like to have a fit match-ready Goury on the bench...

For me, Moller's ahead of Gyoury anyway.

For me our defence is right and should not be changed unless because of injuries or suspension, and if that happens, i agree that Moller would be ahead of Gyoury. Also on the Saulsbury note, he is class. Pure class, and would walk in to any team EVER! Including any Pele Brazil team! (If he was Brazilian) (and over 50) I hope ive made my point- also Smurf has been so reliable and is our best passer from the back, Daly controls the back line with ease, and Josy and Haddow can round anyone! (Ok maybe getting over excited here--!)
