Good game, great result - half decent performance. I thought we looked solid at the back and thought Saulsbury was outstanding. There was one tackle in the first half that was exceptional. As Charlie says he is always that good - he just seems so composed. Knocks some decent passes about as well.

 

Less impressive in the final third where we did seem to want to score the "perfect" goal or just walk it over the line. Saving something for next week, I hope.

 

Can't believe we won in Essex. Well done boys.

Really good game yesterday - typical cup tie. Thought we played really well opening fifteen and most of the second-half but created few chances.

 

Saying we created little though is a bit harsh on Chelmsford as they defended really well. Their 5 the captain won everything in the air. I'm not so sure that we were allowed to create chances by Chelmsford's good defending. We deserved the win though.

 

I see Garry Cross asked for a transfer after that game - never rated him that much as a right-back when he was with us, but he's looked good as a midfielder. Maybe someone we should be looking at as I sometimes feel that despite Wilko and Mets doing well in midfield we could sometimes use some younger legs to get around the pitch in the middle of the park to get stuck-in?
