Remember Farnborough V Arsenal. I think the rules changed after that match. So when we beat the dings we need to be drawn away.

i think if we get drawn againsta big club like that we automatically go to their ground

We would probably go to a neutral ground, if at home matbe Reading or MK Dons, won't go to there ground because its against FA rules

since when? we ground switched when we played birmingham a while back... marcus' understanding is that both teams have to agree to change the home ground but i can't see any reason why either team would object?

Charlie, the FA rules changed after Farnborough vs Arsenal a few years back. Don't think they can be 'bent' by either club personally.

Since the FA changed the rules last season, so if a small teams draws a big team at home in the FA Cup, the small team can't switch the game to ther big teams ground. Don't really know why, but they must have their reasons.

So many people (myself included) have been quoting it on here recently.

What's the scope for yelling it from the terraces when the action on the pitch dries up? (eg)

speaking of the original topic... if we WERE drawn at home to Man United, or Arsenal do you think that the Thames Valley Police would think that it would be safe to have it at Stag Meadow?

No chance. They had enough of a moan when we hosted Walsall. Because of the open fields to two sides of the ground, there's so much opportunity there for nasty things to happen - such as people not paying to get in and looking over the fence.

 

Should it occur, I would imagine we would look at switching the tie to either Brentford or Reading.

Can we PLEASE stop talking about the Third Round? When Yeading have turned up next week and given us a pasting because we're all focused on who we'll get in the next round, we're all gonna look a bit silly.

 

Let's focus on this one and then worry about what comes after it which, incidentally, is a rather significant home game against Dover Athletic, not Man United.
