Sodje earns extension at Terriers

Huddersfield boss Peter Jackson has handed striker Akpo Sodje a contract for the remainder of the season.

The 23-year-old was coming to the end of an initial three month deal but has had a run of scoring in the reserves.

 

"It's been a big step up for Akpo but I like what I've seen and now he's got another six months to impress further," Jackson told the club website.

 

Sodje, formerly with Margate and Gravesend, joined the Terriers from Erith and Belvedere in September.

So lets ensure we hang on to Darren rather than let him slip through the net.

 

If Akpo can get a contract-and all credit to him because he has obviously worked hard-then Darren must be a candidate for a premiership.

From what i remember of the few games Akpo played for the gate he had good quick feet but lacked mobility because of on going injury problems. Just goes to show get the attitude right,put in the effort, a slice of luck and a sprinkling of talent and the worlds your oyster. Good luck Akpo.
