THOUGHT I WOULD START SOMETHING NEW EVERY FRIDAY WERE PEOPLE PUT THEIR PREDICTIONS FOR THIS SATURDAYS GAMES,IT WILL GIVE EVERYONE AN INSIGHT TO HOW EACH INDIVIDUAL THINKS THIS WEEKS GAMES WILL GO.

 

MINE ARE AS FOLLOWS.

 

BASILDON UTD. V BARKINGSIDE. 0-2

BOWERS/PITSEA. V CONCORD RANGERS 2-1

BRENTWOOD TOWN. V ETON MANOR. 2-1

ENFIELD TOWN V SOUTHEND MANOR. 2-0

HULLBRIDGE SPORTS. V ROMFORD. 0-4

STANSTED. V BURNHAM RAMBLERS. 1-2

WALTHAM ABBEY. V SAWBRIDGEWORTH. 3-0.

STOP SHOUTING!!!!! That's what writing in CAPITALS/Upper Case means.

 

I'd go along with most of the results except I think Stansted a good for at least a draw v Burnham Ramblers.

It is complete rubbish to suggest that, just because Brentwood are finding the going tough, at present, they should be " In the Intermediate League" . They have a track record over the years as good as anyone, they have excellent hospitality and when the League last mentioned the Sportsmanship Award marks they were TOP.. Its not all about results you know so, think twice before making such adverse comments on a first class member of the ESL ! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

I would have to agree with the reply above bowers & pitsea played brentwood last week and found that they will compete with any team on their day,also the hospitality shown towards our club last week was 2nd to none.

I am not going to predict the scores for this Saturday however JC reckons that ETFC will be top of the league come Xmas and as we are playing WA on the 4th no game on the 11th when WA have Hullbridge and Burnham on the 18th with ETFC playing Bowers and Pitsea on the same day I reckon that JC is counting on Sawbo taking something from WA and I consider he may be right. Of course that is accepting that we will take 3 points from SM tomorrow.

 

If JC and I am right then it looks as though ETFC will be top of the league tomorrow night.

 

But dont keep me to it.

where did that come from?

regardless of results and where teams finih in hte league, if the grounds are not up to ESL (E grade) standard then they will not be allowed in the league, not fair, not right but the rules.

There is irony for you! You could be leading the league like Waltham Abbey and yet only make it into the Intermediate league next season if you cannot meet the FA grade E specification. On that basis only Enfield Town, Burnham Ramblers, London APSA and Barkingside might be eligible to stay in the ESL let alone get promotion! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wall.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wall.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wall.gif" alt="" />
