Positive Predictions

Reading the replies to Yousef I would say that you guys need to take a collective chill-pill!

It does not matter what form Yeading are in, this is the cup. All that matters is who wants it most

who believes in themselves and who is the strongest mentally. Are we a better side than Walsall. Of course not. Did we want it more than them, did we ever! And not just the team.

The fans against Yeading are going to be even more crucial than Walsall.

We are on a mission.

The massive organisation to stage the game, the ruck with the council,MOTD,the red card protest, all that ADDED to our cause in Round 1. That desire in the crowd to save the club transferred to the team. We need to do that again. The whole town is talking about this cup run and beyond. Everyone I meet now mentions the cup when they hear I am from Slough.

The moment Whincup saved in the last minute at Croyden I thought something special was coming and I don't think it has arrived yet!

Here here. Great post.

I'll be there on the day singing my heart out to get behind the team regardless of my apprehensions. Whatever the result, the team deserve our full, loud, vocal support on that day as much as any other.

Let's get into the supportive frame of mind and get in some singing practice on Saturday to get behind the team. No bitching, no sniping, no arguing, no moaning, no negativity. Let's get ourselves in the positive frame of mind and transfer this over to the Slough players that are on the pitch.

I will be there to add my voice to the masses, although I hardly know any of the songs, I will also be brinning an American Freind with me, although I will probably have to stop sinning ocaisionally to explain the rules to him.

COME ON YOU REBELS

I would like to agree with everything said in the original post that started the thread but it was anonymous.....

It is very important we stay positive and behind the team when Yeading comes around becuase if we go flat the minute things go pete tong (fingers crossed they don't) it will effect the team. I for one intend to be signing for the 90. Provided my voice holds up.

Just wanted to voice my support and agreement for all of the above... as a relatively new rebel I've never felt any animosity for being a "new fan" which I think is wonderful! So I will be there singing along with the best of them (and undoubtedly the worst) ... as for the guy who didn't know the songs, ther's a whole list on the website plus sound bites so you'll know how they go by the 4th!

Yes its going to be tough....but if we stayed focused and play football , we have as good a chance as they do ! and our support will also help..and we too must get behind our team 110% and not stop shouting and singing, willing the ball into their goal !

Above all lets remember...how far we have come and the happy days and memories we have had...from this years cup run....

Fingers crossed and we can do it.....

up the rebels.....

You see what a bit of positive thinking does - and the match is still a week away!

Hopefully this positivity will rub off on the players and they will trounce the Yeads for us.

Bit worried about Andrew, though:

what does he think he'll be doing while we're watching the match? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/whistling.gif" alt="" />

This American Freind of mine although has seen a couple of Football matches, has no idea what some of the basic rules are, so I know that he is going to keep on asking me what is happening, when I would rather be concentrating on the game.

See!

Told you it was getting big.

Something is stirring.

Walsall was just the starters we have not had the main course yet.

Last minute goals,'lucky' wins against the form, changing keepers, now the ultimate pressure relief for Saturday, we will still be in a major cup comp after christmas (FAT with a home draw), no matter what the result against Yeading.

This just keeps on getting better!

Be Excited. Be very excited!
