Everyone is complementing glen and alex and ian atm but i thought that if any strikers are injured why doesnt eddie bring on andy deaner because he may not be good but when i watch him he always plays 100%.

 

Last time i saw him was away to maidenhead in pre season and yet again he put in 100%.

I never thought Andy was as bad as people made out. Irrespective of that though I would have thought a bigger stumbling block is that he doesn't play for Slough any more and hasn't done for several months!

Andy has gone back to playing local 'junior' football in the Reading area. I believe he is still registered to play for Slough, but despite his effort, I do not think he would add anything to our squad as it stands unfortunately.

I suspect the "you people" in question come out with "this [censored]" as they are closely involved with STFC and hence have some idea of what they are talking about.

The supporters of Slough Town FC recognise what the Deaners have done for the club and with out Martyn the club would have gone to the wall back in 98.

 

As Ian mentioned above Andy did contribute to the team and I fondly remember his lobbed goal from the halfway line.

 

However with the current team Andy was struggeling to gain a place and I can understand why he has moved on.

 

The club is moving forward as can be seen by the current cup runs, but we are still living on a knife edge.

 

Any foolhardy comments can jepodise this situation so Mr Anon please have the courage to identify yourself to show that you actually care about the club.

I thought taht Andy Deaner was good targetman, but when you have Hodges and Seedel in competition he was always going to lose out. I'm sure that there are a load of teams at our level who could do with a presence like that, he is a Gazelle after all!

Strange then how the information that Andy had returned to playing junior football in Reading came directly from the club?

 

Andy Deaner always gave 110% despite getting plenty of unnecessary stick.
