The game against Aylesbury United on Thursday 1st August has now been cancelled. This has been replaced with an AWAY fixture at MAIDENHEAD UNITED on Tuesday 30th July at 7.30pm.

I doubt very much that we could attract a pro team, no one at slough has connections at that level, dont forget we have a bunch of amatuers running the club and the team <img src="/forums/images/icons/tongue.gif" alt="" />

I would have hoped that at this particular time, with discussions going on about a new ground, a couple of high profile friendlies and a nominal entrance charge would go some way to enhancing the clubs public relations within the local community. I feel sure that league teams would show some solidarity by fielding a few well known players for autograph signing/photos etc.

For your information the club did try and get a Premiership club and a Nationwide Division One side down to Wexham Park as I understand. If they decline the offer what can the club do?
