Yeading Predictions

Yeading are not only a good side but they seem to be in very good form at the moment. Starting to pull away in the league. Personally, I think it will be an incredibly tough game and is too close to call. Will home advantage be enough?

We will have to see - I have been nervous since the draw and my receding hairline really cannot put up with this kind of tension.

If our defence stays solid throughout we have a chance. Yeading seem to leak goals so if Hodgey and Seedel/Spencer are on form, we will score.

Like Gary though, I also have this awful feeling we will lose by 1 goal... BUT... I felt the same thing before the Salisbury game too...

I predicted we'd beat Walsall 1-0. I also predicted a 2nd round draw against Yeading or Swindon.

For the Yeading game I'd say it'll be 1-1 then, after the 3rd round draw is made for the winner to play Arsenal/Chelsea/Man U, back to their place for a 0-0 draw AET... with the winner going through on penalties. How nailbiting would that be?!

I'd normally be more relaxed if this scenario panned out as away teams GENERALLY do better in penalty shoot outs due to a lesser burden of expectation as there are normally fewer away fans than home fans. I somehow don't think that would happen if we went there for a replay. I'd wager their fan and his dog would even stay at home if the replay was on TV.

Well I have to agree with gary unfortunately, i felt a lot more confident against walsall, i was SURE we would win, i think this game will be close and will be a bit of a brown trouser story.... however, thats ages away, who is going to be there to see us get trounced in essex again on saturday? Prediction 2-1 loss

Sorry, work interrupted me composing a reply...

Above messages sum up my thoughts too, pretty much.

I think it will be a very close match, but I just hope that our lads can summon up the same passion and enthusiasm that they showed against Walsall - if they do, then, win or lose, we can be proud of them.

We CAN beat Yeading, but I'm refusing to get excited about the possibilty of winning through, just in case we don't - makes a victory that much sweeter (remember the reaction after the Walsall game?)
