Ben has left St Albans and signed for Northwood.

On Saturday just gone, Braintree played Northwood at home he was due to play and was listed as number 10 on the team sheet they handed in, but Northwood players got stuck on the M25 due to an accident, our game did not kick off till 3.25, by that time Northwood changed 10.Ben Abbey to 15. and the 15.Richard Morton became the 10.

Yes,Ben Abbey for me as well,who has pace,and was improving with each game,along with Rob Haworth,as opposed to Roy Essandoh,who I thought all along would be a 5 minute wonder (I hope i'm proved wrong ,as Andy seem's to rate him highly).And also an out and out Left sided player who could get behind defences AND whip across pass's Ben Walshe.There,i'm now going to put my tin hat on and wait for the flack!

I agree that we miss Ben Walshe but in my opinion Ben was just not good enough for conference football with either his ability or attitude and I feel to label Roy Essandoh as a 5 minute wonder with what he has achieved is unbelievable

I had him on champ man, last seasons addition. I had some kind of cheat where I could change the value of some players so I did all Gravesends to be worth millions. Man Utd bid 23,000,000 for him.

Never had a problem with Ben Abbey ( ok apart from THAT penalty !)

...as I probably bored you with last season...I thought he did ok......in the face of unfair barracking from the majority....

I don't think you read the comments properly - he said he expected Roy to be a 5-minute wonder.

I will add my name to the pro-Abbey brigade - I remember what some 'fans' did for the confidence of Darren Smith when he was here as well.

Not so sure about missing Ben Abbey though, he was turning into a bit of a Che Stadhart, not wanting to run for the ball. Think we've done far better with Roy and Manny up front.
