Well I really can't see us getting much from this game. The "stoke" have been in the doldrums lately but bounced back to form on saturday. Although we have hit some form of late we still have those defensive problems.They also have a fair home record. This is the kind of game that we could win but thats my heart talking. My head says,unfortunately,that we will lose by 3-0. If we get ANYTHING from this game it will be a great result. [color:"blue"] What makes you think the game is on Tuesday Cookie ? It's on Saturday, both Margate & Basingstoke were knocked out of the FA Trophy so the game has been re-arranged for Saturday (which is FA Trophy day).

i THINK THIS HAS TURNED INTO A MUST WIN GAME AFTER EFFECTIVELY DROPPING 2 POINTS ON SATURDAY.

It looks ike Basingstoke are a solid outfit who have benefitted from a good and thorough pre-season and thus have gelled together.

As they do not appear to have any 'names' in the side, i also guess their manager is astute and a decent tactician coach .

 

However, heres a chance for CK to prove he is the man',and get a good result from the game.

Oddly, i think we will aswell.

 

It seems both teams have the leagues top striking pairs in Che and Rocky on a combined 18 which is same no. as their two strikers.

 

Thus with goals between the strikers prevalent, is it not inevitable that ironicaly this will turn out to be a nil-nil draw.

 

As this league does not seem to have such results(why are the defences so bad)i reckon someone will probably nick a 2-1 win.

 

Just hope its the Gate

Bad news-i'm going-seen alot of away games this season ,and only saw us win at Carlshalton(when we were outplayed)

 

Sequences to be broken then-i'm due to see Gate win away.Basingstoke due to lose at home.Gate defence to stop leaking goals.

 

Reckon we will have half a chance, and the above odds look harsh ,but at end of day, i reckon it will be a good Gate performance but end in a 2-1 defeat in a game where the Gate performance deserves better.

 

A flukey win would do me though
