Current Squad strength

Notwithstanding that i think we are desperate for an extra quality midfield player,i think CK has done phenominally well to assemble the current squad.

 

We may not quite make the play-offs this year, but if we were to give it a real go, i think the current squad is certainly alot better than the squad that won promotion in 2001/2;and would be able to hold its own at conf. national level, once it improved the teamwork through practice and familiarity.

 

WE have not quite got the 'thou shalt not pass attitude of 2001/2',which is where the difference lies, but certainly, individually this is a better equipped squad in terms of quality.

I don't mind what nationality an additional quality player for midfield is.

I see that Dean Hooper of St Albans has asked for a transfer.

 

To my mind , he's got just the sort of experience,cunning and guile that our midfield needs.

 

Despite him asking for a transfer, as he's about 33 he would not command a fee imo.
