blimey,

what was all that about then?

I know that he was the one of the four who we felt had shown the least loyalty etc etc especially after the way the club and the fans had supported him throughout his injury and subsequent recovery, but, I was totally shocked at the amount of venom being dished out to him from the eastside - it may have been from other sections of the ground too, but i couldnt hear over the racket the eastside disco was making anyway

I didnt want to join in, as i thought that westy had done a good job for us, and did not celebrate his goal.

however, after about half an hour, i did end up joining in with the chants - everyone around me was feeling genuinely hurt by the actions of this former servant to the club, and I for one believe that the fans of this club are more important than any player or manager - they can move on - we are the only constant.

Still, was a bit shocked at the amount of personal abuse levelled at Westy, as i think he was too. But, if it affected his game and led to his being subbed, then all i can say is "nice one Bridge avenue"

Jamie S was asking what the story was with the Westy abuse thing... I just think SW was one of our heroes and the club supported him when he was injured and then he says thanks a lot and bye (sailing off into the sunset in the boat he managed to buy out of the wages we had paid him!!). Surely he must accept that he is going to get abuse and I agree he had a crap game so perhaps it did put him off (shame).

think the problem is that some reports of how he left have been taken into account, from what i've heard(true or not i don't know)he came back to the club to give his kit back in his grays tracksuit, tried to take photos off the wall and told a couple of people they were mugs for staying to help out club

once again i don't know whether this is true or not, just something i heard

Unfortunately what Eastsideurchin was saying is true. Westie (i was a big fan myself)did turn up in he's Grays tracksuit and did try removing the odd item from the club house. Very dissapointing really,So i can understand the amount of abuse he received Saturday.

You lot make me sick!

So he could of stayed, picking up his massive wages (which under the terms of his contract he would of been perfectly entitled to do) and pushed you further in the [****!!****]. I think the players who left quickly have actually done you a massive favour, it wasn't his fault he was injured for a year - bloody idiots!
