Well Wot Happened Then To The Grays Thrashing...

...of Hornchurch?

Nice to see the Gypo's reduced to a 2-1 scoreline. Obviously you did something right and now is the time to take a little heart from that and build.

Of course, if I were a Grays supporter, I wouldn't be happy with 2 - 1. With the size of the squad and the "stolen" talent and players (isn't so typical of Gypo's to cash in on others miss fortune, eh? ) on paper, they should've won by a bigger margin. Obviously not.

There are a lot of teams that would've fared worse considering the situation you find yourselves in. Now stop crying in yer milk, get up, look the rest of the league in eye and say "come on, we'll take all of yer on".

We played well. To be honest if we had of had our old team out we would have murdered them....

It's a crime that they are gonna win the league as personally they looked nothing special against our side we put together little less than a week ago....

It's a shame but nevermind, these things happen, we'll get it next year

I think you'll find the only thrashing handed out in the vicinity of Bridge Avenue yesterday afternoon was in fact by the traffic wardens - who had a field day

Obviously parking half on the pavement is a way of life in Grays....

OK, I do feel sorry for the supporters who saw their ten men snatch a 2-1 win - especially as said supporters were singing 'We want 10!' - & then, glowing with victory, they leave the ground only to find they've been stuck with a ticket.

I mean - personally I'm gutted for them.

And I'm sure you all feel the same.

To be fair The Chav Army would have all come on the train (did they buy tickets?? we ask???) and those driving would probably been normal Grays supporters. I don't laugh at anybody that suffers at the hands of our over zealous trafic wardens....(hang on a mo ....what about the old wardens giving the club a kick back commission???? ).

Anyway, their Chairman? (Mick L) seemed a decent bloke and, of course, lent us a coach for the Boston game.

They would have had a job coming by train. There was engineering works all the way down to Upminster on the C2C line!!
