Ok, flying start, but what is happening to us now? Someone has to question the decision to leave Ben Surey out altogether today. What's going on.

 

In my opinion Lee Shearer and Ben Surey have been our best two players. Shearer wins everything at the back, is solid as ever. Does Andy not see that? Ben Surey helps us keep the ball, and rarely loses possesion. England Nation X1 player.

 

Someone has to question Andy's decisions as of late?!

Anyway, hearing the RK reports, I would think it wasnt selection problems today - more a case of a couple of ref decisions going the wrong way. We obviously dominated, but need a striker who can consistently put the ball in the net.

If he wasn't fit what is he doing on the bench? Also, I see Roy was brought off at half time. I don't know the reason, but if this was because of injury, I think it was stupid to play him in the first place, as his injury could be more severe now. Was this sub tactical or enforced?

Looking at the team, Andy clearly opted for 2 wide men in midfield - Drury & Lovell, which left 2 central midfield berths and no-one could argue with playing Mckimm & Saunders there.

 

It is also possible, of course, that Andy was forced to switch at the last minute because Ben wasnt feeling 100%. In that case, rather than going for just 4 on the bench, he may have elected to put Ben there, and potentially still have the option of throwing him on late on, if things demanded it.

 

I'm just guessing of course - and yes, like others am concerned at our recent form. One good performance, however, and confidence and fotune will return, I'm sure. Lets start with Woking next Saturday.

Midfield wasn't the problem yesterday, in fact we dominated it. IMO a moment of madness with the penalty cost us a chance of getting something out of the game
