The press seem to think the development will be up and running in between 2 and 5 years.

The former does seem a bit quick - funding, design, consultations, planning, and building all take time - look at Margit, and they were only putting up some new stands!!!

It wikll be interesting what timescale Brian is working to.

I'm sure ,however, knowing the way the board work, everything will be done thoroughly and professionally with nothing left to chance.

When it all comes to fruition, let us have a REAL celebration opening fixture - Arsenal, Chelsea or even Man Utd??

Not Gillingham, Millwall or Orient, please!

BTW, I quite like the look of Northampton's new ground - food for thought for the planners?

Some people (not me in particular) might be interested to hear that Chatham Girls Grammar School is opening a new 'Sports Hall' on Tuesday 23rd November. To be opened by a Mr Andy Hessenthaler of Gillingham Football Club, exact time unknown.

 

Football Clubs don't usually do stuff like that unless there is PRESS involvment.

Would this be a opertunity to unveil some 'FLEET #1' or 'SCALLY OUT' boards for the local papers to see how unwelcome the Gills move to Gravesend would be?? Now im not a believer that Protests make a the slightest bit of difference but for those who believe that it does, you've only got a few days.

It's got nothing to do with him. Let's do this thing properly and as professionally as we can. It would make far better impressions and make people more willing to listen and come out in our favour. Any heckling along with disruptive and seemingly agressive protest will do us no good whatsoever. Let the people who know what they're doing handle this and the rest of us follow along accordingly.

Can I rely on you to ensure that the salient points arising out of presentations/discussions tomorrow night are posted somehwere ? either on here or Whitebucket ? as I can't get there tomorrow...had circumstances been different, I would be there like a shot but regretfully they are not ( and before some a*se starts going on about Betty's hotpots...I won't be watching telly !!).
