had an idea - bit like the corners game...

 

bear with me lads...

 

1st urchin to arrive gets a bit of paper and writes their name at the top.

 

2nd urchin to arrive writes theirs beneath etc.etc.

 

every time somebody who has their name on the list buys a drink, the bit of paper gets passed to the next name.

 

at the end of the night, the person with the bit of paper does not have to donate a pound to urchin aid.
