Update

[Margate Football Club]

With the 30 day countdown well under way to supply Thanet District Council with our detailed planning and business case/finance model, our JV Partners and Architects are in town this week to attend a number of meetings arranged with Planners, Highway Dept, Archaeological Trust and Legal Team.

 

The Club will be arranging a meeting for the local residents on Tuesday 30 November, which our Architects will attend with details of the project and also to take on board any feedback prior to the formal submission of detailed planning.

 

Members of the Independent Supporters Association have agreed to deliver a leaflet to all residents within the area and it is proposed the meeting commence at 19:30. Only local residents in possession of a leaflet will be admitted to this meeting.

 

It is expected that the information designed initially for local residents will be left with the Club for Supporters to come and view.

 

Our Development Team is on target to meet the Councils deadline, which expires on 09 December 2004. The Team has received full cooperation from the Councils Officers for which we are most grateful.

 

A further update will be issued after the residents meeting on 30 November 2004.

i wonder if theres any way i could get the infomation as i live in cliftonville.

This is a fantastic idea, because it informs, and includes, those people who live in the immediate vicinity. We cannot assume that all will be in favour, but that is because they may not know what the development entails. With any luck the majority will see what a benefit it will be to the area, which can only help us.

Doesn't it seem a little late in the day to be telling the local residents, are we still working up to the period of the meeting, because we'll only have a week after the meeting. Or are we just telling them what is happening?

yes i see there being good to the local residents, im just wondering if it affects the plans in any way?
