Just checking on new keeper Allaway. They say football's a funny old game and it transpires that he had a short loan spell at Walsall of all places in 2003 whilst at Leeds. Unfortunately, he never made it further than the bench which is a recurring theme at all his clubs - Reading, Leeds, Walsall (loan), Grimsby (loan) and QPR. He's certainly made a positive start here. Long may it continue. Can anyone confirm whether any of our young players are under contract - namely Harris, Haddow, Hodges, Carbon etc in the past we have been robbed blind by league clubs poaching youngsters - Owusu, Stowell, Richardson, Asamoah, Rocastle (man of the match for Hibs on Sat) etc

i think you'll find we got good money for Owusu (£25K) - only problem was the money went straight into the pocket of the Thornes

My understanding was that we got bugger all for LLoyd because he left after expultion from the conference. I could be wrong.

It was £25,000 as I recall... but it obviously didn't help STFC.
