Cash has quit !

Hi Zagreus.

There was a manager, someoneorother Gibbs [Dennis?] who was appointed one Summer and was replaced before the eason started thus not taking charge of a single game, although his tenure was longer than a week or so.

I said cheerio to Stuart as he left the Broxbourne clubhouse last night. I must have been one of the last people, if not the last person, to speak to him face to face. I'm sure that it wasn't anything that I said. Could I have said more, i will for ever ask myself.

Oh, by the way. As his day job, I gather that Stuart is a Bailiff. I wonder if he knows Buzz Lightyear.

One last thing. According to the popular press, Castle offered to resign after the F.A. Cup [temporary] victory over Heybridge Swifts. Now, Stuart Cash resigns, it would seem, after a Herts Senior Cup victory over Broxbourne.

What is it with City managers? It would seem that they just can't cope with the pressure that comes with success.

Can't say as I blame him if that is the case!

Or he's asked for a budget increase to bring in another eleven or so players and Gibbo has said: "f*ck off you racist, bottle weilding thug, my gran could stick a red hot poker up yer a*se, and I'd have done the same, so I'm not rushing into any decisions!"

AFF, I do know Stuart, well as it happens - nice lad. Would have done a great job for you.

Even by my standards, this is an incredible turnaround. City need some stability and fast. Out of all the (potential) managers I interviewed in the summer, now more than ever City could do with someone like Tony Choules. A level-headed guy - he'd soon sort your cliquey dressing room out (and wouldn't expect a small fortune as a budget or in wages).

If nothing else, Saturday's programme should be interesting.

& there was nothing wrong with those publicity backdrops - superbly designed & printed.

Not so well according to my sources, but he certainly knows you.

If ever we need advice on how to rack up £100,000 debts, have the club suspended from the League, taken to the High Court in London to face a winding-up petition, and, not, least, become a laughing stock in Non League football, we'll know just where to come.

This is terrible news. He seemed fine last night. A genuinely nice guy. There's got to be a lot more to this than meets the eye.

Cyd Charisse? How old are you, AFF? She must be in her 80s. I did hear she was going to star in the next Die Hard movie. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

The last club that you 'helped' in a fanfare of your own publicity was Baldock Town, as I recall. Advice on how to deal with their financial affairs, wasn't it? Very appropriate.

Where are they now, remind us?

If Tony Choules is interested in the managers post at The Mighty Saints, he should do two things. Firstly, he should change his Christian name to Sam or anything else starting with an S and secondly, he should ask you to get the hell out of promoting him around here. You are a total liability.

Hi Woody.

I agree that this is devastating news.

There is something very strange about this. He was fine as he left the clubhouse at Broxbourne last night. One of his last conversations was with that Chairman of the Supporters Club chap concerning training gear for t'lads or some such. Something happened thereafter.

We'll never know.

I am young enough not to know that 'Cyd' is spelt with a C! How did you know?
