Jeff King decided to use this game as a full 1st team squad game after his team were beaten 4-0 at aldershot in the f.a.cup last saturday, all the big guns played in this friendly at park lane last night. canvey scored their 1st goal with 30 seconds remaining in the 1st half and went in 1-0 up at the break the second half started and canvey took the game to bowers,to bowers credit they battled and tried to play good football and keep the ball on the deck,the pitch looking like a bowling green.then with 20 minutes gone in the 2nd half gone canvey got their second goal,bowers continued to press hard and battle and scrap for every ball until the final whistle.Final Score.

well done to bowers for their effort, I decided to walk round and watch w.abbey and concord my god how poor were concord taking nothing from the abbey. Concord had three decent players that looked like they had a bit of passion thought the number five at the back was great and the other lad alonside him not to bad and the little guy in midfield who was surprisingly subbed.
