The Race Night

Thought as nothing has been written on the WEFC & Supporters Club websites that I would tell everyone that the race night was brilliant and we had a great laugh. It was well organised and it sounds like we did well on the the cash front.

 

Shame nothing was written on the sites about this or how much we made. It might have enticed people for next time.

The reason there has been nothing written on the sites is because:-

 

1) I wasn't able to get to the race night

2) No one has passed on any details as to what happened.

Firstly can I say Malcolm does a sterling Job at running the site and I'm sure it takes up a considerable amount of his own time.

 

Secondly why should Malcolm have to chase people to get info about the race night? there are enough people on the Supporters club committee who must of been at the race night, surely one of them could of forwarded the info onto Malcolm. Its not rocket science!

Hi everyone

 

Regarding the race night, Paul as discussed at the last committee meeting, we are compiling a newsletter to go out to both members and non-members around the ground, this will detail events so far, money raised etc, the people that use the message board isn't a wide audience. In hindsight yes we should have put up an instant message but that's hindsight, no need for shouting odds, and please remember you are a committee member yourself who was present at the race night, we can all use our own initiative! But anyways to everyone else, a big thank you to everyone that turned up at the race night, 33 people I counted and we raised around £570 (PROFIT) after the money spent on the buffet and prizes. An absolutely great effort so thank you everyone! For people that weren't able to attend you missed a great night, and next time you should definitely give a go many laughs were had! Just to let you all know we will be having a newsletter out at the next home Saturday game which will highlight everything we've achieved so far together with forthcoming events!
