Eastside - Well look at it this way, if your firm goes pop and you don't get paid and your rivals come in and offer you a good deal and the best deal what would you do???

 

At the end of the day these boys have a living to make as well, I am just as gutted as anybody else to see them turn up and play for the Chavs on saturday but it makes sense in there eyes to have made the move.

Agree with VOR, let's give them a good reception and act like true men who appreciate what they have done in the past.

Otherwise it tends to rebound on us.

i've just got the hump with westie,the others done what they had to do,but westie was injured for ages and was getting paid by the club,they stuck by him,and five minutes after the club hit trouble,he is off,thats loyalty,yeah i understand they have a living to make and the other 3 done what was right but westie no!

others have stuck by,even played for us to help us out

i understand that as well,i am just bitter about it,i just feel that they have been well paid and knew what they was letting themselves in for when they came to us,i do thank each and every one of them(especially westie)but i feel he jumped ship a bit soon and others haven't

That's what we need to concentrate on, let's move forward, hope for a big gate on saturday and see what is out on the pitch in our shirts!

i am only going to support my team,i won't acknowledge them unless i feel i have to,i just think we have to put all our efforts into supporting hornchurch not the ex players,i really feel this is an important match,i trust garry hill while he is in charge and still think he can find players capable of taking us up or into play offs this year or next couple

Do you really think the conference is a realistic idea while the club is in this state?

 

We can all dream, but after thinking hard about this, I'd rather see our club safe than glorious!

i don't see why not,we know we can get decent gates and if we was in the conference as a part time club i feel the managment structure that is in place now could substain this,you never know till you try,as long as us fans keep following the club it should be in good hands

I will be there 100% supporting Hornchurch for the 90 mins of the game but before the game I will clap when our ex players are announced and after I will chat to them in the bar as I always have done.

 

As far as the Conference goes it is early days boys but you never know what can happen in this game, but I am with you NTRSW we need some stability back before we make our sustained push for the next level of football.

i am not going to knock it if we get there,but it prob would be a bit premeture as far as club is concerned but if it did happen i am sure mr calder and rest of staff are capable of running club on a much tighter budget and at least now if we hit any problems we know we can cope from them as we have learnt from the past mistakes made

It does leave a sour taste in the mouth, that the players left for Grays but they where offering them a deal straight away. You cant blame them im sure if they could still be playing in a Hornchurch shirt they would be.

The noise we made on Saturday was fantastic and the players and GH fully appreciated that, same agin on saturday me thinks. Even if it dous mean a bloody sore throat every weeek. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/megaphon.gif" alt="" />
