That's right and they get a wad of cash to donate to a local school I believe.

Last season all the winners got to go on the pitch at the begining of the game and obviously get to watch the Cup Final itself.

I don't think he has had that many votes. Since I first saw it he has already lost 4% of his vote. And thats me, you and my mate at work voting.

Don't give up yet. Get everyone you know who has access to a computer to vote and we can turn this around.

The deadline is 9am on the 22nd November 2004. However, it would be nice to have Al in a commanding lead before then. In case you were wondering how he got the nod:

"This year a media panel; Ricky George of The Daily Telegraph, and scorer of one of the most famous FA Cup goals in Hereford United's giantkilling of Newcastle United in 1972, Stuart Robertson of The Independent, Walter Gammie of The Times, David Watters of the Non League Paper and Mark Clemmit of BBC Five Live will determine the nominees for each award."

Two of the other nominees are keepers and the third was a scorer for Hinkley. The reason for Alex's nomination

"Slough Town’s Alex Haddow, who tormented the Walsall defence and set up the second goal in a 2 –1 victory over Paul Merson’s League One side"

Weird:

Just got latest voting:

Butler, Alfreton 1.64 %

Cartwright, Hinckley 66.97 %

Key, Histon 26.54 %

Haddow, Slough 4.85 %

Cartwright must have just got 'hundreds' of votes, as Key was on 7x% and Haddow on 13%.

I smell a rat!

Marcus Kirby: message from 'Nemesis' on the TIS forum:

"Matt - make sure Marcus Kirby sees the poll and get him to get the kids and the teachers from school to vote from home. Haddow should pick up a few if we can get Marcus's enthusiasm tapped"

Little trick that seems to work so that you can vote more than once:

Open the internet, click on tools and then internet options. Clear history and delete cookies and files and then revote, need to repeat everytime!
