there were 6 'right spotty herberts' behind me & my son & I know they were amused he knew all the words to all the songs. They asked if we go to all the games & when I <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon_band222.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon_band222.gif" alt="" /> said we did they said 'yep this is great, we will be coming back' & they all bought scarves & a couple shirts ! the more the merrier !

 

By the way, well done to BFR, he usually conducts a band but yesterday it was a full orchestra !

Most of us, if we looked back, would find that our support of STFC started off at something like this. Few of us just turned up at a league game aout of the blue - it took some sort of special occasion to get us there.

 

Don't be too hard on those who came for the first time at the weekend. Welcome them, don't make them feel too much like "new boys". Some of them will be regulars for the next twenty years.

Yep, I got my first game in the FA Cup against Torquay all those years ago and got more and more hooked the more I came. Encourage them to come back with a good atmosphere and banter rather than questioning them on why they don't come every week.

youve got me wrong gentlemen, I was delighted to hear they could return, I told them what good football Slough play, what a good product it is..... 'they get the ball down & knock it about on the deck !'

Can only be good news for you really. However i'd of thought more effort like ticket deals would of gone on. Oh well
