Good point Tom. There was a cracking atmosphere down the far end yesterday. Let's hope that carries into the league match and the Trophy match (revenge!) at Chelmsford as well.

Well Mr 'Slough Town fan' take it you are only there for the cup then as if you look at the table a win is a must against Worthing to push us further up the league!

Even if 10% stayed on to become regulars that would boost our average to 450-500.

I just hope they do. But how often do we see a non-league club become a 'giant-killer' only for the majority of that crowd to stay-away next 'bread-and-butter' league game and only re-appear for the next 'big' game?

That's an interesting point Matt. Whilst it was great to see so many people there yesterday and the revenue is clearly going to benefit the club, I have to admit that it bugged me to see so many people I had never seen at a game before and who clearly knew nothing about the team or any of the players. Or maybe I am just getting old and grumpy because I couldn't stand where I normally stand!!

 

Anyway, I will be keeping all my ticket stubs and programmes handy so I can make sure I get my ticket for Old Trafford!!! I knew I should have bought a season ticket.........

Well RJB, those who are with us are not against us and we need all the opinion we can get on our side. Everyone who comes to a game has already been influenced to support us when we really need it - and hopefully they have a vote in Slough - so let's welcome them all. The time is coming when we will need friends and as the man said "The best way to have a friend is to be one!" (Thinks, might be worth explaining that one to Councillor Stokes!!)

It's a difficult one this, isn't it? On the one hand we need a bigger, regular following but then it feels funny when the ground is full of 'strangers'.

At the Harrogate game I ended up having a row with and telling one guy to shut up because he'd "been to two games this season and that number four's been crap in both". He was talking about Dean Palmer who was wearing the shirt that Ricky Browne had worn all season up to that point so whilst he was correct that Browne was a complete donkey, he was aiming it at Deano who was playing a blinder!
