no fear

I hope this is not tempting fate. With the exception of the Physical side of Grays(we will have to see about Hornchurch)Who do we have to fear in this league. When our defence is back in place releasing the front boys to play that bit farther up i cannot see any reason why we should not qualify automaticaly. Need a couple of new faces, one in mid field and one up front then its upwards and onwards to the conf national and beyond. COME ON BOYS we are only TWELVE POINTS adrift

Good point-got to aim for automatic promotion.

First aim must be to be just 6 points off the pace by Christmas

Question is-can CK get some consistency into the side.

Think this week without a midweek game will be of benefit, to get things even better organised and settled.

Can anyone remeber how many points and league position we had this time in 2001/2 season.Think we were some way off the pace but came to front with stunning post Christmas run to grab the title.

Thank's for your comments micheal micheal. Yes we have to be positive. the only way to stuff it up this shower in cecil sq is to be successful and in the celebration of the clubs success do'nt give them a photo call, ignore the b*****s. As for the public consultation they ignored it at the ramsgate sea front, are trying to f***k up the airport before it as a chance and are still trying to kill us too. Though i believe the story of Nero fiddling(good use of a word?)while Rome burned is supposedly fiction it is appropriate. This town is in need of some success to lift the air of gloom and doom( sorry forgot about the multi million pound mild steel cash drain we are having imposed on the pier) which under the present steward ship is thickening. We need more new developments,i went to the winter gardens in the summer for a football presentation, what a shabby hole in the ground,i certainly won't be rushing back. while the flats replacing the 2/3rds of the old butlins will look nice they will not bring in any trippers nor will the flats on the texico, the fort lodge(if it gets the nod) or pinkies. Why build a casino in westwood cross, build it on the part of dream land using the Bingo, archades and the carbuncle that is arlington house/sq/multi car park. this leaves the open part of the old park for a all year round indoor fun park. This won,t happen of course while we have (no disrespect intended)small minded self seekers in charge. Sorry if this bores you but i feel much better. Ps cant remember but CK did say that the teams form after the new year would have put us in second place if we had ,had a good start. Again i say the club is going up.

Go on then, let's indulge ourselves.

Started the 2000/01 season with one point of out 9, then stuffed Fisher Athletic 5-0 including a Mark Munday penalty hat trick.

In mid November we were 3rd, 4 points behind Crawley and Burton.

We made top spot on 25th November after beating Stafford Rangers 3-1, stayed there for 2 weeks until Burton overtook us.

We regained top spot on New Year's Day, beating Folkestone 3-2.

Burton then took over until early March, mainly because we were always a few games behind them. (Didn't have a home league game for 55 days!)

We got back to the top on 10th March, and the rest is history!

From January 1st to the end of the season we were P21, W15, D4, L2, F34, A9, conceding goals in only 6 games.

Defeats at Weymouth 1-0 (remember that night?), and Burton 2-0 (Sit down if you've won the league!!)

Who's to say we can't do it again?
