Great effort from everyone on the pitch and off it as well !! 5-2 probably was about right in the end , but i will tell you what when we pulled it back to 3-2 it was lovely to see a momentry panick set in with the boston fans.

We didn't roll over and die , it wasn't a cricket score.

YOU DONE US PROUD BOYS !!!!!

 

Now roll up those sleaves and on to the next game.

It will be a long and tough ride but i am going to make sure i'll be there.

A HUGE thankyou to all of the fans who attended yesterday, especially for the Garry Hills Red & White Army disco for the last 10-15 minutes.

 

Even when the 5th goal went in, we didnt stop singing <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

 

So we were all travelling for about 6 hours yesterday just to see our team get knocked out, but I am so pleased that I was there to witness the passion of the supporters, especially at the end when the players came over - to look at us, you'd have thought we'd won!

It was nice to see the young lad Terry Everett score a goal. Must have been a great moment for him to score at a league ground in the first round proper.

Unlucky on the reslut yd though, it was a great effort to score two against them. I did smile when i looked up the half time scores and saw you were up.

dareczko - with all respect for your literacy shortcomings, we lost against a team 2 divisions above us, although the 1st XI of a fortnight ago would probably ensured that we were in the 2nd round, the very fact that we were able to fulfil this fixture is remarkable in itself.

 

This is not a time to whinge & whine at team selection or team performance - we have to be 100% behind the team from kick off to the final whistle. We owe the players who have stayed / recently joined that much.

That was just great, it was only a few days ago you were saying how we only manage to sing it for 30 odd seconds then we go and sing it for 15 minutes on Saturday.....great
